Acá estoy, en otro de mis ratos cibernéticamente productivos, tejiendo un poco y tratando de soportar los síntomas de una gripe viral espantosa que nos atacó a todos en casa. Oz es el que lleva más días enfermo. Here I am, in another of my cyber-productive moments, knitting a little and trying to bear the symptoms of an awful viral flu that attacked us all at home. Oz is the one who has been sick for more days now.
Zoe's birthday is coming already (on thursday), and even if we are not having a party, we are having a family celebration at home. Thanks to Maya's creative ideas, from maya*made, and her tutorial, I started making a bunting with recycled newspaper.
Acá, lista para empezar.
Here, ready to start.
The flags drying in the sun.

Ya secos, listos para planchar.Already dried, ready to be ironed.
Pintando las letras...Painting the letters...

Les dejo la foto del "chachán..." para otra nota, ya que todavía no los colgué. ¡Gracias Maya por la idea!I leave the "tadaaa..." picture for a next post, since I didn't even hang them. Thanks, Maya, for the idea!
Y ahora los dejo con estas dos imágenes de... ¡baños! Sí, son baños. Ya quisiera uno así yo.
And now, I am leaving you with these two images of... bathrooms! Yes, they are bathrooms. I wish I had one like this...

Beautiful pictures. I love the flags but I adore that colorful blanket at the beginning of your post...I have a feeling that you love color going by the bathroom pictures :)
ResponderEliminarYou are absolutely right, Raining Sheep! I love colors, and bright colors even more... Thanks fot the comment. I am enjoying the making of that blanket.
ResponderEliminarJulie!!! These are so beautiful...I love how vibrant yours turned out...you are so phenomenal with your use of color! The picture of them drying on the line is fantastic! Don't you love how ironing out the wrinkles. I loved seeing them become little flat canvases for the next step. Your lettering is also meticulous...is it by hand? Wow! Can't wait to see them hanging. So sorry everyone has been sick!
ResponderEliminarAbrazos y besos!
what wonderful colours you use, I love your ripple blanket, love the colours!!!.
ResponderEliminarMaya,
ResponderEliminarthanks for your comments! I enjoyed a lot making these. I love playing with color, every new color I made, I used a bit of the one left before.
Yes, the letters were painted by hand by me. I love making letters.
And the ironing! I never thought that it would be nice to do that also. At least it was a surpise how fast the wrinkles dissapeared under the iron. I bet the acrylic painting had something to do with that too...
Thanks a lot for your tutorial, I'll be showing the results after the birthday celebration we have tomorrow.
CrazyJane,
