¡Hola a todos!
Primero que nada quiero contarles que con Jeana estamos contentísimas con la participaciones de todos ustedes en el grupo Delicate Reflections. Es un placer ver las lindas fotos que ponen, y cómo cada uno interpreta el tema del proyecto a su manera a su manera.
Hice un pequeño collage con algunas de las fotos que me gustan. Son montones, pero para verlas vayan directamente al grupo.
Hi everyone!
First of all I want to tell you that with Jeana we are super happy with the participation of all of you in the Delicate Reflections group. It's a pleasure to see the beautiful photos you are posting, and how each one interpretates the theme of the project in their own way.
I made a little mosaic with some of the pictures I like. They are so many, but in order to see them, go straight to the group.

Después, contarles que tuve una semana rarísima, sintiéndome nada bien. Un poco resfriada, y otro poco de revoluciones personales, interesantes, profundas, sanas, pero cansadoras.
Then, tell you that I had a super strange week, not feeling well at all. A bit of a cold, and at the same time with some personal revolutions, interesting, deep, healthy but tiring.
De cualquier manera me las ingenié para arrastrarme al piso de arriba cada tanto, y terminar el proyecto del quilt para picnics que tuve entre manos todo este tiempo. Se supone que es para picnics, pero pensándolo dos veces, después de todo el trabajo que llevó, no estoy totalmente ansiosa por ponerla sobre la tierra sucia todavía (¿tal vez usarla como mantita para mirar películas en el invierno? Ya veremos.)
Anyway, I managed to crawl upstairs every now and then, and finish the picnic quilt project that I had in hand all this time. It's supposed to be for picnics, but thinking twice, after all the work it took I am not fully eager to lay it on the dirty ground yet (maybe use it as a throw for watching movies in the winter? We'll see.)
Acá viene la parte en que los abrumo con fotos del proceso, y del producto terminado. Había elegido muchas menos, pero el resto también me gustaba. Y ¿cuál es la gracia de tener montones de fotos que me gustan en la máquina, y no compartirlas en mi propio blog?
Here comes the part where I overwhelm you with pictures of the whole processs and the finished product. I chose a lot less, but I liked the rest too. And, which is the point of having loads of pictures that I like in my computer, and not share them on my own blog?

Primero fue la selección de las telas.
First came the selection of the fabrics.Después, las primeras versiones de la disposición de los cuadrados.
Then, the first layouts.
Y los cambios y más cambios hasta que me gustó cómo quedaba.
And the changes and more changes until I liked the result.
Luego, apilar las piezas en grupos.
Then, pile up the pieces in groups.Regocijarme con las uniones prolijas (que aprendí a hacer correctamente gracias a este libro fantástico para principiantes, que me recomendó Dotty, mi alma mater en quilting).
Rejoyce with these neat unions (that I learned how to do thanks to this this fantastic book for beginners, that my quilting alma mater Dotty recommended to me). Coser la parte de arriba, planchar las costuras y dejarla colgando.
Sew the quilt top, iron the seams and leave it hanging there.Comenzar a jugar con las telas para la parte de atrás.
Start playing with the fabrics for the back.Hacer el sandwich, habiendo corrido los muebles, con ayudante especial.
Make the sandwich, with prior furniture moving, with special helper.¡Acolchar!
